2012 Origins Game Fair - Theme:
GAMA has announced the 2012 Origins Game Fair theme as Time Travel! We encourage everyone to start planning their costumes and games now! Games that fall into the theme of Time Travel for the 2011 Origins Game Fair will be featured in the Program Guide. See you all at Origins 2012.
Ribbons
Origins will feature a number of discount ribbons this year. All ribbons are $20 (except the Looney Werewolf ribbon) and can be purchased at the show or during pre-reg. Purchasing a ribbon allows you entry to all events covered by the associated ribbon. You can also get tickets to associated events at no cost. The registration system will automatically discount your ribbon if you purchase the ribbon first then add events to it. Seating for ribboned events are prioritized as follows.
1. Ticket holders (this includes $0 event tickets purchased with a ribbon)
2. People with ribbons (do not need generics or tickets)
3. People with generics
The following is a list of 2012 Ribbons:
1. Amtgard – This is for unlimited play in the Amtgard boffer combat area.
2. Board Room – Gives access to the Board Room. There’s a couple of scheduled events in the room but it’s almost entirely open tabletop gaming using the CABS’ library of over a thousand titles.
3. HOT – This gives you free access to all historical miniature events.
4. Mayfair – Gives free access to the Mayfair Games room featuring all their scheduled events and tournaments.
5. Origins After Dark – Gives free access to the Origins After Dark events. These events begin at 6pm each evening and are geared towards our 18+ attendees.
6. Puffing Billy – Allows free entry to all Puffing Billy train game events and tournament qualifiers.
7. War College – Allows attendees to enjoy the War College seminars for free.
8. Werewolf ($10) – Allows free entry to all Looney Labs "Are You a Werewolf" events.
War Room – NO LONGER AVAILABLE - CABS has combined their Board Room and War Room Ribbons. The games previously available through this ribbon can be played with the Board Room ribbon.
